- Preparation Time: Approx. 20 min
- Cooking Time: 1 hour 10 min
- Serves: 4 people
- Ingredients:
2 garlic cloves crushed
25 ml oil
1 onion grated
2 green chilli’s (optional)
1 teaspoon each of Kit 4 Curry Recipe Pack 1, 2, 3 and 4 (add more heat with an extra teaspoon of #4)
Salt and pepper
3 tomatoes grated (or a can of chopped tomatoes)
2 Medium potatoes cut into quarters
500 g meat of choice (beef, chicken, or lamb)
2 cups beef or chicken stock
Fresh coriander chopped
Loaf white bread cut into half (dig out soft middle)
25 ml oil

- Cooking Method:
- Sauté the garlic in oil until brown
- Add grated onion
- Add the green chilli’s (optional)
- Add 1 teaspoon each of Kit 4 Curry Recipe Pack 1, 2, 3 and 4 (add more heat with an extra teaspoon of #4), tomatoes & potatoes.
- Cook for 5 min, add protein of choice and sauté for a few minutes.
- Add water (or stock). Cover and simmer slowly on low heat until protein is cooked and potatoes are done.
- Add coriander and simmer till protein is soft and gravy thickens.
- Remove the soft middle of each half loaf and generously fill both with curry.
- Place the soft dug out bread on top of the bunny chow to close opening.
- Best served with a carrot salad or sambals.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
